Research Essay on Pride and Prejudice Topic IdeasDuring high school I wrote a research essay on pride and prejudice. It was one of the more challenging projects I've ever completed.I started it during the junior year of high school. A classmate who I knew for years offered to write an essay about our family. She had a great deal of experience but had never written about her own family.Since my family is very diverse, I thought the essay would be more interesting if she wrote from a point of view other than mine. The topic idea had to do with our pride and prejudice toward our mother's Irish ancestry. As an English major I was already familiar with that particular issue.She wanted to know how I felt about it, since I was in her English class. I responded to her that I was quite proud of my Irish heritage, although that pride did not extend to my mother. She would probably be pleased to know that I am not alone in her opinion.I started writing the research essay on pride and prejudice during junior year of high school. I finished it and sent it off to my English teacher. She enthusiastically approved it and read it over the summer break.I thought it was a perfect fit for a student who was not only in my English class but also a well-respected honor student. She was also able to use my work as a guide. Even if she did not appreciate it, I could tell that she appreciated my honesty and desire to learn as much as possible.Because of my English teacher's advice, I have written two more essays on the same topic. I believe that is the only high school topic I have ever written on twice. They are both excellent research papers.
